Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated in Gretna, LA, is seeking a 3rd Shift Product Feeder to supply raw materials to a high-speed production line. You will monitor, feed, and stage ingredients while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Under supervision of the Production Manager, you will multitask, adapt to changing assignments, keep work areas clean, and collaborate with team members to minimize downtime and waste. Prior production experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds daily.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math for ingredient measurements.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Able to communicate effectively and work with others.
• Able to operate in a dusty environment with strong odors.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual checks of raw materials, spice mixtures and package integrity.
• Follow batch sheet to measure and add ingredients to spice mixtures feeding the line.
• Maintain proper hopper level to prevent downtime.
• Perform rework of finished goods or raw materials.
• Assist in cleanup during product changeover.
• Assist QC with magnet checks.
• Monitor handling unit tags on pallets and manage bin placement.
• Complete Sanitation Inspection sheet with QC daily.
• Perform daily housekeeping in work areas.
