Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Sanford, NC is hiring a Product Assembler 2 for 3rd shift. You will assemble/test parts and may rotate positions, following work orders and blueprints to ensure safe, quality assembly.

Starting pay is $20.20 per hour with an 8% shift premium, and the role offers a comprehensive benefits package beginning Day ONE along with paid training.

This position emphasizes 5S, continuous improvement, and teamwork. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of heavy equipment machine assembly experience.
• Ability to follow standard work and blueprints.
• Comfort with lifting up to 35 lbs and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble/test parts, components, or systems for BCP machines per work orders.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Rotate to various positions within the function area.
• Use tools and lifting devices to move heavy components (>35 lbs).
• Follow standard work, routings, and blueprints for safe, defect-free assembly.
• Follow CPS principles of 5S and continuous improvement.
