Caterpillar in Sanford, NC is seeking a Product Assembler 2 to assemble/test parts and rotate through the job function area, following defined work orders and blueprints to ensure safe, defect-free assembly.

This 3rd shift role offers a starting pay of $20.20 per hour with a shift premium, a path to overtime, and a benefits package starting Day ONE including medical, dental, vision and a quarterly bonus.

• 3rd Shift Starting Pay: $20.20/hour (+8% shift premium)
• 3rd Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:30 PM-5:30 AM, Overtime as business needs require on Fridays

As a Product Assembler 2 at Caterpillar, you will:

• Assemble/test parts, components, or systems for BCP machines according to the specified work orders and other duties as assigned.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly condition.
• Rotate to various positions within the Job Function area to perform related activities.
• Use various tools provided in the work area to perform assembly duties and may include the use of lifting devices to move heavy components of weights of more than 35 lbs.
• Follow documented procedures standard work, routings, and blueprints to perform safe and defect-free assembly and/or adjustment of components and prime product.
• Follow and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to perform repetitive operations.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have 6 months of heavy equipment machine assembly experience.

• Effective communication skills.

Additional Information:

• This is a 3rd shift position.
