Job summary

Jobot in Stamford, CT is seeking a 3rd Shift Process Engineer to join a growing manufacturing operation focused on safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. You will optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, support EH&S initiatives, and drive Lean manufacturing across the facility.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and a Green Belt, with at least 3 years of process engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Green Belt required.
• 3+ years manufacturing process engineering experience.
• Experience leading process improvements using data analysis and root cause solving.
• Lean/Six Sigma/ISO or Operational Excellence exposure preferred.
• Experience with SAP or other manufacturing ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and process optimization to improve productivity, quality, and labor efficiency.
• Support and promote a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance.
• Own key manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence initiatives to reduce waste and improve plant performance.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, engineering and R&D to optimize cycle times and product quality.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, standards, and parameters for consistent production.
• Plan and evaluate process trials and implement sustainable improvements.
• Support capital projects ensuring equipment installations meet safety and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with emergency response planning and process safety initiatives.
• Coordinate environmental, health and safety reporting and industrial hygiene programs.
• Analyze manufacturing data and present recommendations to improve yield and efficiency.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to achieve operational goals.
• Perform additional engineering and operational support duties as needed.
