Job summary

Keystone Powdered Metal Company in Cherryville, NC is seeking an experienced full-time Press Operator to operate molding equipment and ensure product quality. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and requires reliable attendance.

Responsibilities include following procedures, recording data, using measuring tools, and communicating with team members and supervisors to maintain process control. The incumbent may assist in procedures revision and training others.

Qualifications

• Able to read and understand procedures, process sheets, etc.
• Able to do basic math calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
• Understand decimals, fractions, percentages, averages, etc.
• Able to write legible sentences.
• Operate and adjust equipment properly.
• Properly use measuring equipment and accurately interpret results.
• Understand and apply SPC fundamentals.
• Demonstrate satisfactory relational skills with regard to communications, cooperative associations, and participation in continuous improvement.
• Thorough knowledge of all applicable process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate primary molding equipment and ensure product quality.
• Follow procedures and record/process information accurately.
• Record and maintain product/process data legibly.
• Use measuring tools to verify conditions and adjust as needed.
• Communicate job-related information to coworkers and supervisors.
• Support training and help revise procedures as needed.
