Job summary

BAC Dayton is seeking a Press Brake Technician III for the 3rd shift in Dayton, TN. You will be part of the Sheet Metal team, fabricating parts, moving materials, and ensuring quality while supporting safe operations.

Responsibilities include operating the press brake and shear, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting with dies and tooling changes. Strong safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement mindset are required.

Qualifications

• Read a tape measure and perform basic fractional calculations.
• Competent in reading blueprints and reference drawings.
• Competent in the use of measurement equipment including micrometers, tape measures, dial calipers, square, protractor.
• Knowledge of Lean Basics, 5S, wastes and their application.
• Knowledge of sheet metal quality standards and customer expectations.
• Ability to perform first part quality checks.
• Safety requirements for handling tools and equipment.
• Teamwork and collaboration.
• Ability to access fabrication data and enter data into databases.

Responsibilities

• Owns personal and team safety and uses proper safety equipment at all times.
• Assist Senior Mechanics to produce fabricated parts safely and with quality.
• Program and run simple parts on press brake and perform preventive maintenance.
• Perform material kitting and operate the shear and conduct shear maintenance.
• Assist changing dies and CNC tooling.
• Support scrap reduction and keep work area clean.
