Job summary

Wilson Tool International is seeking a Machinist for a 3rd shift role in Minnesota. The position focuses on operating a cell of mills and grinders to produce precision metal parts with tight tolerances using high-precision grinding equipment.

Responsibilities include setup, inspection, and continuous improvement of the grinding cell, ensuring quality and throughput while maintaining part integrity and accuracy. Full-time shift schedule with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Machine Tool Technology or Tool & Die, or be a 2nd-year student.
• Strong mechanical and technical abilities required.
• Ability to edit programs and set up multiple machine styles, with knowledge of G&M Codes.
• Willingness to move among all cell machines as workload demands.
• Ability to read and interpret technical data such as blueprints and routings.
• Understand machine tooling mathematics, including trig and algebra.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and set up machines manually or with small hand tools.
• Inspect and change fixtures as necessary.
• Load piece into fixture/machine and set dials, switches, and programs.
• Monitor performance and adjust for precision and quality.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and finish; re-run as needed.
• Support grinding cell improvements and maintain readiness.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
