Job summary

Bell and Evans is seeking a full-time Direct Labor employee in Fredericksburg, PA to support poultry processing operations. Responsibilities include handling live and/or raw chicken, deboning, cutting, packing, weighing, and moving products under supervision.

Flexibility to work in multiple departments as needed ensures smooth production flow. Candidates should be able to read English or Spanish safety rules and procedures and complete checklists.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret English or Spanish safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to complete checklists.

Responsibilities

• Pick up live birds by hand from the incoming MODs (trays).
• Hang bird by both feet on hooks.
• Identify and disposition any birds that do not meet standard.
• Willing and able to work in other departments and positions as needed and assigned.
• Willing to work in hot, cold, wet, and noisy conditions.
• Willing and able to work around industrial equipment, stand for several hours, lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds, repetitive use of arms, wrists and hands.
