Job summary

Daniels Health is seeking a Plant Operator for our Ellenwood, GA medical waste treatment facility. The role includes weighing incoming waste, operating the autoclave, recertifying 55-gallon drums, and counting universal waste with accurate paperwork.

This position requires lifting up to 75 lbs and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. We offer stable full-time employment with a direct-hire path, competitive hourly pay, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Can-do attitude and commitment to safe, efficient work.
• Experience in labor-intensive, warehouse, industrial, or manufacturing job.
• Proven reliability and tenure with previous employers.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely and repeatedly.
• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Comfortable working around medical and universal waste with PPE.
• Able to stay productive without constant supervision and look for the next task.
• Takes ownership when something is wrong and follows through on corrections.
• Works respectfully with coworkers and leaders, even under pressure.
• Looking for stable, long-term work to support personal and family responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Weigh incoming regulated medical waste containers (using our Weighbridge).
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials).
• Recertifying 55 Gallon drums.
• Counting universal waste (lightbulbs, batteries, etc.) and adding them to the manifest.
• Experience in training others.
• Lifting up to 75 lbs and handling 55 gallon drums.
• Provide attention to detail, especially with the paperwork required to process these items.
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably.
• Working well with a team because we are all about team work!
