Job summary

Reliance Worldwide Corporation is seeking an Extrusion Operator for the Cullman, AL facility. The role focuses on set-up, adjustment, and operation of extrusion equipment for plastic pipe production.

The incumbent will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain the extrusion line, ensure quality and safety, and train staff. This shift-based position requires physical capability and willingness to work varied hours.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of plastic extrusion processes including setup and troubleshooting.
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
• Available to work any shift, weekends, and overtime if required.
• Practical knowledge of production procedures.
• Ability to use computers with word processing and spreadsheets a plus.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Willing and able to become forklift certified.
• Experience with PEX or polyethylene pipe preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft products preferred.
• Ability to walk, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all phases of manufacturing for a PEX pipe extrusion line(s).
• Ensure efficient use of staff, equipment & materials throughout the process.
• Maintain/perform quality testing and documentation.
• Train personnel in the department.
• Perform machine operation, testing and packing of products.
• Inspect materials to meet customer order specifications.
• Willingness to work any shift.
• Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Observe safety rules and wear PPE.
• Other duties as assigned.
