Job summary

General Formulations is seeking a Packaging/Skid Operator to ensure correct skids, boxes, and labels for each shift. You will box, label, and skid rolls as they come off the machine, and you will help maintain the flow of packaging supplies for scheduled orders.

Responsibilities include moving finished skids with hand jacks, observing kick-out controls, and assisting with loading cores and splicing bulk rolls when available. A strong safety focus and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Must wear PPE and follow safety protocols in production areas.
• Ability to operate hand jacks and manage packaging materials.

Responsibilities

• Prepare skids, boxes, and labels for orders for the shift.
• Box, label, and skid rolls as they come off the machine.
• Maintain packaging supplies for scheduled orders by checking sales orders or operator notes.
• Follow kick-out roll/mill end controls to keep rolls from going to customers.
• Move finished skid to wrapper using a hand jack; transfer to finishing warehouse if not finished.
• Assist operator with loading cores and splicing bulk rolls when time permits.
• Maintain clean work area and follow proper lifting techniques.
