Job summary

Gemini Group, Inc. in El Paso seeks an Operator/Packer for the 11pm–7am shift. This full-time, hourly position focuses on efficiently packing plastic parts and ensuring proper labeling and packaging to prevent damage during shipment.

You will perform visual inspections, document production metrics, and support line setup with basic computer skills, lockout/tagout awareness, and 5S practices to maintain a safe, organized workplace.

Qualifications

• Capable of repetitive production tasks.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires dexterity and manual coordination.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect parts against samples for defect-free quality.
• Label cartons.
• Pack specified number of defect-free parts per packaging specs.
• Retrieve production run documents and file them.
• Complete charting, tracking, and documentation for traceability.
• Perform secondary production operations and rework parts.
• Set the puller speed when changing jobs.
• Grind scrap plastic while line is set up.
• Complete water charting.
• Sign off on production orders.
• Return sample part and compare with first/last piece.
• Follow 5S and lockout/tagout procedures.
• General housekeeping.
• Write serial numbers on parts and place on skid.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

To pack a specified number of quality plastic parts in an appropriately sized and labeled container.

Essential Job Functions

1. Visually inspect and compare production parts with sample parts to assure defect-free products within established production standards.
2. Label cartons.
3. Package a specified number of defect-free parts in an appropriately sized and labeled container and place on a skid, in accordance with packaging specifications to prevent damage when shipping.
4. Retrieve all documents for the production runs and return to proper files when complete.
5. Complete required charting, tracking, and documentation of production parts for traceability purposes.
6. Perform secondary production operations and reworking of parts, and fill out related documents.
7. Set the puller speed setting when changing jobs.
8. Grind scrap plastic while the line is being set-up for production.
9. Complete water charting.
10. Perform production order sign-off responsibility.
11. Return sample part and compare with first/last piece.
12. Qualify bow and length after preliminary cooling.
13. Follow lockout/tagout procedures.
14. General housekeeping.
15. Write serial number on the part and place all parts checked on top of completed skid.
16. Other duties as assigned.
