Melds is seeking a 3rd Shift Operator for the densifier line in Fletcher, North Carolina. The role requires feeding fiber material, operating the densifier, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. You will inspect, deburr, and pack final products while reporting production metrics at the end of the shift.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Operate the densifier unit safely and efficiently and feed fiber material into the designated machine opening.
  • Maintain production efficiency to the approved standard.
  • Inspect items and sort by visual inspection to ensure defect-free products.
  • Prepare product via deburring and cleaning to meet standards.
  • Inspect and pack product according to the standard.
  • Maintain work area and equipment by cleaning and organizing.
  • Provide accurate production reporting and scrap counts at shift end.
  • Communicate with previous shift for information and with supervisors when issues arise.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

About the role

This position is responsible foroperatingthe densifier unit by continuously feeding fiber material into the machine for extended periods, involving frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive motion.

  • Operate the densifier unit safely and efficiently and feed fiber material into the designated machine opening.
  • Maintain efficiency to the approved standard.

  • Communicate with Team Leaders and supervisors when there are issues.
  • Complete other duties, as assigned.

  • Able to work in a team environment.

  • 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM.
  • Schedule may vary based on production needs.
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.
