Job summary

Trevett Facilities Recruitment seeks an experienced Operating Engineer for the 3rd shift in Omaha, NE. You will operate, inspect and maintain building mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems to ensure reliable, efficient facility operation.

A valid 3rd Class Stationary Engineer License is mandatory in Omaha; 4–5 years of relevant experience preferred. This full-time role offers compensation up to $35 per hour and requires strong problem-solving, communication, and safety-focused

Qualifications

• 3rd Class Stationary Engineer License required.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect and maintain building mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot chillers, pumps, cooling towers, DX units, generators and other building equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs and general building maintenance.
• Inspect mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, pumps and other critical building systems.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures and emergency situations.
• Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Provide reliable service while supporting the efficient operation of the facility.
