Job summary

Atlas Copco Tools & Assembly Systems LLC is seeking a on-site service specialist to support General Motors at the Arlington, TX site. You will act as the primary Atlas Copco technical resource, troubleshoot line disruptions, and guide tool diagnostics and repairs.

The role involves collaborating with GM’s union repair specialists, performing tool installations, software updates, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize tool reliability.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a production environment with automation or tool repair experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read schematics; proficient in MS Office, networking, and databases.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with GM production, maintenance, and tool repair teams as on-site Atlas Copco expert.
• Respond to line disruptions with timely technical support to minimize downtime.
• Assist with diagnostics, fault codes interpretation, and repair procedures.
• Support tool installations, configurations, software updates, and optimization.
• Promote preventive maintenance to improve tool reliability.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to resolve issues.
