Job summary

AISIN Illinois is seeking a Team Leader for the 3rd shift in the OHI Department. The role supports the OHI Supervisor’s plans to maintain productivity, enhance safety, and drive continuous improvement activities including 5S and the 3 Pillar approach.

Responsibilities include assigning staff, completing checksheets, reviewing shift reports, and communicating abnormalities and quality issues. You will ensure line efficiency, PPE compliance and participate in Kaizen activities to sustain

Responsibilities

• Assign team members considering absenteeism
• Complete PM checksheets, final checks, PCS and QCS sheets, and daily tracking charts
• Review production reports from the prior shift
• Communicate abnormal situations via the log and inform team members
• Discuss quality and customer issues from the previous day and address them
• Complete first-piece manufacturing checksheets
• Monitor sekisyo stands; rotate first-piece on first/final stands
• Run hourly manufacturing checksheets and report problems and countermeasures
• Facilitate safety communications; ensure PPE use and evacuation plans
• Ensure product quality on lines and communicate defects and actions taken
• Investigate final inspection results and assist in countermeasures
• Document abnormals/quality issues and provide feedback; establish countermeasures
• Investigate defective parts and report to Quality; review with team members
• Assist in rework and sorts
• Answer andons promptly; support line maintenance and repairs
• Respond to Stop Call Waits and implement short-term corrective actions
• Ensure team members perform production activities and follow standard work
• Coordinate tool repair arrangements and verify post-repair
• Audit processes to ensure standardized work and proper assembly techniques
• Remain knowledgeable on current/new models
• Assist in scheduling training and complete training documentation
• Assist Kaizen/continuous improvement activities
• Communicate with other shifts' Team Leaders/Supervisors about shortages, quality, safety, Kaizens, or machine failures

We are looking for a Team Leader for 3 rd shift in the OHI Department.

The OHI Team Leader will support the OHI Supervisor’s plans in maintaining the efficiency of the productivity, ensuring the safety of the team members, developing continuous improvement activities and implementing any necessary 5S or 3 Pillar activities.

Other duties and responsibilities of the Team Leader include:

• Determine where team members will be placed taking the absenteeism into account
• Complete PM checksheet items, all final checks, PCS and QCS sheets line sides, and Complete any daily tracking charts.
• Review production report from previous shift.
• Review and Complete Communication Log and Inform Team Members of Abnormal Situations
• Review and discuss any quality issues or customer issues from previous day. Go over any operator issues then address them.
• Complete Mfg. Check sheets for the first piece
• Monitor Sekisyo stand. Should be clear from the previous shift. Rotate first piece on the first and final sekisyo stand.
• Perform Mfg. Hourly check sheets and communicate any problems or counter measures put in place to the appropriate personnel
• Facilitate safety communication to team member. Ensure team members are practicing proper ergonomics and safe behavior. Ensure team members know evacuation plan. Monitor that team members are wearing proper PPE.
• Ensure quality of product running on the lines in the department and ensuring appropriate communication of defects and actions taken when received.
• Investigate final inspection results and assist Supervisor with implementing counter measures.
• Document any abnormals or quality issues and inform the Supervisor. Provide good feedback to the appropriate personal and establish counter measures.
• Investigate defective parts and report conditions to Quality and review with t/m's.
