Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Multi‑Craft Maintenance Technician on 3rd shift. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to maximize uptime.

You will read schematics and blueprints, install wiring for new equipment, and collaborate with production teams. Requires related credentials and hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or industrial maintenance/electrician certificate.
• 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC principles, and industrial controls.

Responsibilities

• Observe and follow safety rules and procedures, including LOTO, OSHA, MSDS, EPA, and HAZMAT requirements.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance on production machines and facility equipment.
• Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs to minimize downtime.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Read, interpret, and analyze blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, block diagrams, and manuals.
• Run conduit and pull wire for new machines and equipment installations.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and document work orders.
• Work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with production staff.
