Job summary

Volvo Cars in Ridgeville, SC is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician on the 3rd shift to maintain highly automated equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair, and improve mechanical and electrical systems while adhering to safety policies.

You will document tasks in the CMMS, train operators, and contribute to root-cause analyses and permanent solutions. The role requires reading specs, PLC know-how, and the ability to work weekends and overtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience and knowledge in electrical and mechanical maintenance of equipment.
• Read and interpret manufacturing specifications or work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance tasks in assigned area, including predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment breakdowns (mechanical and electrical).
• Use CMMS to complete administrative tasks and track work orders.
• Provide training to operators and support teams.
• Analyze failures and propose permanent improvements.
• Coordinate with teams to ensure timely maintenance and shutdowns.
