Job summary

Volvo Cars is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to maintain and troubleshoot highly automated equipment. You will work across electrical and mechanical systems, perform preventive tasks, and contribute to continual improvements in a demanding manufacturing setting.

The role requires reading specifications, conducting root-cause analyses, and using CMMS tools. Strong teamwork, safety focus, and flexibility for overtime are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
• Proven experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience or military technical background or an Associate’s Degree.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing specs or work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Perform maintenance tasks including preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Apply problem-solving to reduce failure consequences.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and permanent solutions.
• Create improvement proposals and execute related tasks.
• Use the CMMS to complete administrative tasks.
• Support operators with training.
• Troubleshoot and respond to maintenance issues promptly.
