Job summary

Pretium Packaging in Illinois is seeking an Injection Mold Setup Technician to lead the start-up of molding processes, program robots, calibrate color loaders, and ensure quality and efficiency on the 3rd shift. You will use IQMS for production and maintain clean, safe operations.

This role requires adherence to lock-out/tag-out, strong problem-solving for molding issues, and willingness to train to stay current with industry practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with setting up and running injection molding processes.
• Familiarity with safety procedures including lock-out tag-out.
• Ability to program robots and calibrate material handling equipment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems for production tracking.
• Commitment to maintaining quality and efficiency during production.

Responsibilities

• Completes start up of molding process and provides first article to quality for approval.
• Programs robots and performs calibration of color loaders.
• Responsible for completing lock out tag out requirements for all equipment related to the molding process.
• Responsible for set up and processing of hydraulic and electric molding machines, troubleshooting of molding problems, programming or robots, set up of end of arm tooling, chutes and conveyor systems and authorized to make changes.
• Maintains quality throughout the molding process to meet all standards.
• Utilizes IQMS (ERP system) for entire production process.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Attend training to stay current with industry as required.
• Perform other related duties or special projects.
