Job summary

American Axle & Mfg., Inc. is seeking a Material Handler for the 3rd shift to support production lines, manage material flow, and maintain FIFO processes. You will stock lines with the appropriate equipment, assist with inventory control, and help with training as needed.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma, have 2–5 years in warehouse operations with forklift experience, can lift 35 lbs, and communicate effectively in a team setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
• 2–5 years in warehouse operations and forklift experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Unpacks material from pallets and places in smaller flow racks, FIFO ensured.
• Decant and prepare material for each production line.
• Stocks production lines with tugger or walk-behind; delivers correct parts on time.
• Removes trash and loads recyclables into compactors.
• Assists with inventory control, cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Maintains lot traceability as required.
• Supports training as required.
• Any other tasks and duties as assigned.
