Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Material Coordinator for the 3rd shift in York, PA. You will set up and operate metal fabricating machines to cut, bend, and form metal parts, reading blueprints and specifications.

You will position tooling, adjust controls, and ensure precise production while maintaining safety standards. Responsibilities include inspecting parts, documenting deviations, and training teammates as needed.

Qualifications

Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders.
Sets up tooling, fixtures, and clamps onto machines.
Positions stops, guides, and turntables; adjusts controls for machining factors.
Inspects parts and documents deviations from prints or specs.
Wears PPE and follows safety/environmental rules.

Responsibilities

Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.
Selects, positions, and secures tooling and fixtures onto machine.
Positions and clamps stops, guides, and turntables.
Adjusts controls to set and regulate machining factors such as pressure and depth of ram stroke, adjustment rolls, blade angle, and machine speed.
Locates and marks bending or cutting lines and reference points on workpiece.
Starts machine and observes operation to reposition workpiece, change dies, or adjust settings for multiple passes.
Inspects or measures work; labels parts and moves them to storage.
Trains new or existing employees if necessary; reports injuries and near misses.
