Job summary

Reliance One is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Byron Center, Michigan. The role focuses on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting for manufacturing equipment, robotic cells, and stamping presses on the 3rd shift.

This position offers overtime potential, a sign‑on bonus, and competitive benefits. A complete set of trade tools and the ability to lift 60+ pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with 480V electrical systems and control wiring strongly preferred.
• Understand robotic cells and stamping presses.
• Must have a complete set of trade tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck certification.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting 60+ lbs, heights).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, routine, and emergency mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Diagnose equipment failures and troubleshoot to minimize downtime.
• Repair, install, modify, and rebuild manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Electrical troubleshooting and repairs, including 480V and control wiring.
• Troubleshoot robotic cells and stamping presses.
• Read blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Fabricate and repair machine components using lathes, mills, drill presses, welders, and other equipment.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel across shifts to ensure work is completed.
