We are currently seeking Maintenance Technicians to provide support to Meteor Sealing Systems, LLC manufacturing team. Qualified maintenance applicants must be assertive, self-starters who will be responsible for maintaining and repairing specialized processes and finishing equipment.

Open Shifts (Weekend Availability as Needed):

• 3rd Shift (11pm – 7am)
  
  
  

Training period is required.

Alternative shifts may be required while training.

Overtime is available – may be required with limited notice.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Performing basic and complex mechanical repairs to extrusion and molding equipment including auxiliary equipment.
• Works from mechanical prints to install new equipment and to diagnose and repair.
• Perform installation and repair on hydraulic systems, using technical manuals and prints.
• Install and repair pneumatics on both the equipment and building systems.
• Perform basic and complex electrical and electronic repairs to extrusion and molding equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
• Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment including but limited to, inspection, lubrication and repair of problems found.
• Installs and repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots and programmable controllers.
• Complete daily work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Mentor subordinate technicians in a professional manner to assist them in achieving A technician status.
• Responsible for hazardous waste handling and water sampling in accordance with company guidelines and OSHA regulations.
• Must be able to set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders, and milling machines.
• Participates on Emergency Response Team by responding to emergencies in accordance with established emergency response procedures.
  
  
  

Preferred Education and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
• Associate degree, trade school, or apprenticeship is preferred.
• Must be 18+ years old
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must understand maintenance and reliabilities’ role in manufacturing.
• Applicants must have solid mechanical background and at least 3 years’ experience working with, electrical and programmable logic controls.
• Use of Allen Bradley PLC’s, VFD’s, software. B&R PLC and interface is a plus!
• Understand control, safety systems and various connectivity protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, operations currently run 24hrs.- 5 days/wk.
• Candidate must have critical thinking skills needed for troubleshooting systems.
