Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift at our Jackson, Georgia plant. You will ensure robust operation of equipment through preventative maintenance, repairs and continuous improvement.

The 3rd shift runs Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6am, with training initially on 1st shift (M-F, 6am-2pm). The position offers $34-$40/hr plus shift differential and potential bonus, along with PTO, holidays, tuition assistance, wellness resources, and more.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with PLCs, drives, HMIs, and other electrical components.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
• Ability to pass Electrical fundamentals required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment.
• Collaborate with PLCs/HMIs to improve plant automation.
• Assist in implementing new equipment and improvements.
• Diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
• Coordinate updates with off-shift maintenance personnel.
