Job summary

The Krusteaz Company in Effingham, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician on the 2nd shift to help reduce downtime and improve the production process. The ideal candidate will have electrical, mechanical and PLC aptitude and the ability to read blueprints and work with motors and drives.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaborating with production staff to keep equipment reliable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food manufacturing experience is desired and a plus.
• Exposure to PLC, SLC 500/PLC5/RS Logics/Device Net preferred.
• Exposure to AC and DC motors, VFD and VSD drive experience preferred.
• Relevant trade or technical school training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support production by bringing equipment to base condition through maintenance tasks.
• Interpret blueprints, fabricate metal, perform plumbing and millwright activities.
• Collaborate with production staff to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot, operate maintenance software and report documentation; attend meetings.
