Job summary

Land O’Lakes, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Portland, OR for a 3rd shift role in a union facility. Pay is $40.49 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential; overtime and holidays as needed.

You’ll maintain and repair production equipment, work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and ensure safety and SOP adherence as part of Land O’Lakes’ Purina Animal Nutrition team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1 year of industrial or building facility maintenance experience.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and product manuals.
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot.
• Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful.

Responsibilities

• Complies with all safety processes and insists on safety practices of self and others.
• Shows up on time, completes tasks by deadlines, and adapts to changes quickly.
• Monitors performance of plant machinery and equipment for proper operating performance; performs regular and preventive maintenance, repairs, diagnoses, tests, troubleshoots, and inspections on all machinery and equipment; documents work accordingly.
• Ensures all standard operating procedures are followed.
• Able to multi-task and keep up with demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
