Job summary

Trans-Matic Mfg. Co. seeks a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician to support a high‑speed stamping and assembly environment in Holland, MI. The role emphasizes preventive, mechanical, and facilities maintenance with a focus on reliability and uptime.

The ideal candidate will read schematics, lift up to 75 lbs, and work independently after training, with a requirement for own basic tools and a valid driver’s license. Training for hi-lo and man-lift licenses will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret building floor plans, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Must have own basic tools (specialty tools provided).
• Able to obtain hi-lo and man-lift licenses (training provided).
• Able to work from heights.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling and prioritizing preventative and routine maintenance tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance in stamping, tool room, assembly, and facilities.
• Perform emergency repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, drives, servo motors, HVAC, and PLCs.
• Assist with installation or moves of equipment throughout the facility.
• Submit requests to order machinery parts or components.
• Maintain a database of machine parts by press size.
• Assist Renovation projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
