Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform basic maintenance on manufacturing equipment across the plant.

You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, perform preventative maintenance, and adjust machinery to improve line quality and efficiency. Responsibilities include monitoring lines, reporting abnormalities, upholding GMP and safety procedures, attending meetings, and assisting with inventory while collaborating with A and B level

Qualifications

• Fundamental knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic concepts and equipment.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs.
• Basic welding skills.
• Basic knowledge of read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance on manufacturing process equipment in all plant areas.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on plant machinery.
• Make adjustments to machinery to improve quality and efficiency.
• Monitor production/packaging lines and report abnormal conditions.
• Maintain safety features and GMP compliance.
• Attend departmental meetings and assist in inventory management.
• Work with mechanics to gain knowledge and experience for advancement.
