Job summary

Smurfit WestRock is seeking a maintenance professional for the St. Cloud facility, offering a 3rd shift (11pm-7am) and a focus on preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and safe repair work.

The role emphasizes using power and hand tools, following SOPs, and documenting daily activities in the company system. The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the team.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with a strong ability to troubleshoot.
• Problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Use of precision measurement tools as well as other maintenance tools.
• Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner.
• Ability to work various shifts / overtime / days per week.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
• Diagnosing and repairing machine failures.
• Using power tools and different hand tools to complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Following industry best practices, SOPs, LOTO procedures, and other safety guidelines
• Regular repair and maintenance is required in all areas of our facility
• Use of our computer system for work order implementation, recordkeeping of daily activities, and planned projects.
