Trans-Matic Mfg Inc in Holland, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for the 3rd shift to help keep our equipment, machines, and facilities running smoothly. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot a range of issues, and respond to breakdowns to keep production on schedule.

This is a hands-on role requiring mechanical aptitude and the ability to read drawings; basic computer skills and a willingness to work at heights are essential, with HI-LO/aerial lift training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
• Basic computer skills, including email and ERP systems.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and stay organized.
• Own basic hand tools (specialized tools provided).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work at heights. Training for hi-lo and aerial lift certifications will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC issues.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and make repairs quickly.
• Help install and move equipment throughout the facility.
• Assist with scheduling and prioritizing maintenance work.
• Order replacement parts when needed.
• Support building, grounds, and renovation projects.
• Work with production and maintenance teams to solve problems and improve equipment performance.
