Job summary

Pelican Products in South Deerfield, MA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic III for the 3rd shift. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance or related experience in manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repair.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and electrical maintenance.
• MIG welding and basic machining experience are preferred.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and measurement instruments.
• Ability to diagnose failures and safely return equipment to operation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain production machinery and facility equipment.
• Diagnose complex equipment problems and minimize downtime through repairs.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs.
• Complete piping, carpentry, painting, and sheet metal tasks as needed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on plant equipment.
• Read measurements with Vernier tools and tapes; use machine tools for fabrication as needed.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced team members and coordinate with contractors.
