Job summary

Copperweld is hiring a Maintenance Tech for the 3rd shift (11:00p - 7:00a, Sun–Thu) at the Fayetteville, TN location. The technician will install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment to support Copperweld’s goals.

The role requires a two-year technical degree in Maintenance Technologies and 3+ years of industrial maintenance or electrician experience. Candidates should be proficient with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and electrical systems, and able to read wiring

Qualifications

Requires two-year technical degree in Maintenance or Industrial Technology.
Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting in industrial settings is preferred.
Strong understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
Familiarity with PLCs and electrical standards.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repair on motors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics and drives.
Disassemble and reassemble equipment, recommend parts replacements.
Troubleshoot using electrical test equipment and diagnostic methods.
Read wiring diagrams, schematics and PLC programs to identify root causes.
Fabricate machine parts from drawings when needed; welding experience preferred.
Maintain safety and quality standards in all maintenance tasks.
