Job summary
Copperweld is hiring a Maintenance Tech for the 3rd shift (11:00p - 7:00a, Sun–Thu) at the Fayetteville, TN location. The technician will install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment to support Copperweld’s goals.
The role requires a two-year technical degree in Maintenance Technologies and 3+ years of industrial maintenance or electrician experience. Candidates should be proficient with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and electrical systems, and able to read wiring
Qualifications
- Requires two-year technical degree in Maintenance or Industrial Technology.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting in industrial settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Familiarity with PLCs and electrical standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair on motors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics and drives.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment, recommend parts replacements.
- Troubleshoot using electrical test equipment and diagnostic methods.
- Read wiring diagrams, schematics and PLC programs to identify root causes.
- Fabricate machine parts from drawings when needed; welding experience preferred.
- Maintain safety and quality standards in all maintenance tasks.
