SKF is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift in Sumter, SC. The role focuses on lubrication, preventative maintenance, and repair of production machinery to keep manufacturing lines running efficiently.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and 2 years in manufacturing, with CNC basics and strong communication skills. Physical work and forklift certification are required, along with MS Excel proficiency and preferred electrical/mechanical repair training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of manufacturing experience.
• Basic understanding of CNC machine functions; must communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Must be physically able to stop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds; forklift qualification required; MS Excel knowledge; specialized mechanical or electrical repair training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance duties as scheduled and reports findings.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and mechanical malfunctions of machines and equipment.
• Performs diagnostics and repair of motor and control circuits.
• Disassembles and assembles electrical wires, conduits, motors, and controls on de-energized equipment.
• Maintains clean, safe work environment; reports unsafe conditions.
• Assists in modifying machine components; participates in lean continuous improvement activities.
