Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc is seeking an Entry Level Tech 2 for Equipment Maintenance in Sumter, SC. This 12-month contract on W2 requires 3rd shift, 40 hours per week, with a pay rate of $22.50 per hour.

Duties include operating, maintaining, and optimizing production equipment while ensuring quality and safety standards. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of mechanical experience preferred, and familiarity with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• Maintenance repair/mechanical experience or proficiency required.
• 2 years mechanical experience preferred.
• 6-12 months of manufacturing experience desired.
• Experience with PLCs, hydraulics and pneumatics desired.
• Proficient with basic hand tools.
• Familiar with mechanical components (bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes, ball valves).
• Some electrical components: sensors, photo-eyes, scales, reed switches, VFDs.

Responsibilities

• Operate, optimize, and maintain assigned production equipment.
• Meet production standards while maintaining product quality.
• Minimize downtime and manage waste levels per budget.
• Maintain logs and record downtime and maintenance problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Start up equipment and ensure proper function.
• Monitor inventories and safety guards.
• Keep production area clean and orderly.
• Monitor in-process quality and address issues.
• Perform QC checks and process challenges.
• Follow safety and environmental procedures.
