Job summary

Excelsior Executive Search is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the 3rd shift at a manufacturing site. The role leads skilled trades, sets daily priorities, coordinates repairs with production leaders and drives safe, efficient operation.

You will plan shifts, manage staffing, investigate failures, implement corrective actions, and coach the team. Strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to GMP and safety rules are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required and 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to lead maintenance employees and manage competing tasks.
• Clear written and verbal communication to keep colleagues informed.

Responsibilities

• Plan each shift’s maintenance work, assign mechanics and electricians to tasks.
• Coordinate repairs with production leaders and adjust priorities as needed.
• Investigate equipment failures and develop measures to prevent recurrence.
• Improve setup and changeover practices with input from teams.
• Coach skilled trades employees and assess training needs.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping and GMP requirements are followed.
• Coordinate schedules, overtime, and labor policy adherence.
• Keep plant leadership informed about repairs and priorities.
