Qualifications

• Requires practical leadership of maintenance staff in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills to investigate failures and prevent recurrence.
• Clear written and verbal communication across shifts and departments.

Responsibilities

• Plan each shift's maintenance work and assign tasks to mechanics and electricians.
• Coordinate repairs with production leaders to minimize downtime.
• Investigate recurring failures and implement corrective actions to reduce breakdowns.
• Improve equipment setup and changeover practices with input from maintenance and operations.
• Coach skilled trades employees and assess training needs to build capability.
• Apply safety, cleanliness and GMP requirements; report incidents and address hazards.
• Coordinate schedules, time off and overtime; apply labor agreements as needed.
• Keep plant leadership informed about repairs, priorities, and equipment concerns.
• Partner with plant leadership on improvements to equipment performance and product quality.
• Coordinate with outside service providers when their support is required.
• Promote continuous improvement and respectful working relationships.
