Job summary

ViskoTeepak in Kenosha, WI is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and improve the reliability of plant equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, and support startup and qualification of new equipment.

The role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of PLCs and hydraulics, and the ability to work closely with production to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery and building systems.
• Diagnose and repair equipment problems, with long-term improvement in mind.
• Repair downed machinery quickly and safely.
• Review equipment docs to update maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive Maintenance activities
• Take the initiative to implement efficiency improvements to equipment and processes.
• Assist in installation/start-up/qualification of new equipment; analyze and troubleshoot mechanically/electrically.
• Review equipment docs to update preventive maintenance schedules.
• Analyze maintenance data for predictive maintenance programs.
• Maintain detailed records of work, parts, and time spent.
• Set-up and troubleshoot process equipment.
• Collaborate with production to resolve technical issues.
• Operate with knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, AC/DC, fuses, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned
