Job summary

Adecco is hiring 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanics in Somersworth, NH. This full-time role runs Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, with pay starting around $30/hour based on experience and a stated range of $26.00–$32.00 per hour.

You will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, read gauges and manuals, and document maintenance activities. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, strong mechanical aptitude, and ability to read

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and repair experience.
Experience maintaining or repairing industrial manufacturing equipment preferred.
Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, gauges, and measuring tools.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Ability to become certified in forklift operation and lockout/tagout procedures.
Textile manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required.
Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
Perform routine equipment inspections and minor mechanical adjustments.
Restart and monitor machinery following maintenance or shutdowns.
Support production by assisting with loom operation, repairs, style changes, and product changeovers.
Repair machine breaks and ensure products meet quality specifications.
Read and interpret gauges, rulers, service manuals, and work instructions.
Complete maintenance documentation and production records accurately.
Safely move materials and maintain clean, organized work areas.
Follow all safety procedures, including PPE, lockout/tagout, and hazardous material handling.
Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
Work overtime and weekends as needed to support production.
