Job summary

Pioneer Metal Finishing is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift (11pm-9am, Monday-Thursday) with occasional overtime. You will perform maintenance, repairs and start-up/shutdown of plant equipment while following OSHA and EPA guidelines, and ensure accurate documentation.

Minimum high school diploma; technical training and hands-on experience are preferred. The role involves working with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, lifting 30-50 lbs, and using PPE.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical degree with 2+ years experience preferred.
• Fabrication experience preferred or similar.
• Broad knowledge of electrical, mechanical and plumbing through hands-on training.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, installations, and repairs of equipment and building systems to keep plant operations running.
• Communicate preventive maintenance checks and document them.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions (cranes/hoists, motors, chillers, boilers, pumps, etc.).
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and plumbing operations.
• Start-up and shutdown plant equipment as required.
• Address safety concerns in a timely manner and comply with OSHA/EPA regulations.
• Maintain departmental documentation and adhere to Quality System procedures.
• Assist in handling hazardous waste with EHS Leader and monitor wastewater discharge.
• Maintain organized work area and assist in spill cleanup.
• Assist in other duties as directed by Maintenance Manager.
