Job summary

Champion Packaging & Distribution Inc. is seeking a 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic for the Woodridge, IL facility. The role centers on troubleshooting and repairing industrial packaging equipment with a strong emphasis on electrical and mechanical systems.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance, capable of reading schematics and performing preventive maintenance, with willingness to work 11:00 PM–7:00 AM shifts and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
• Ability to provide a set of basic mechanic's hand tools to function.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Tear down equipment, rebuild and replace defective parts and assemble and adjust.
• Set up lines and assist with changeovers and production runs.
