Job summary

Altria Client Services LLC in Clarksville, TN is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support production operations on the 3rd shift. You will maintain and repair mechanical plant equipment, read schematics, and use welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, and PLC I/O across multiple shifts.

A strong safety and quality mindset is essential. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of mechanical experience, physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the capacity to work on-site in

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years mechanical experience.
Willing to pursue continuing education to stay current with industry changes.
Work independently and with others; follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong teamwork and communication skills in a regulated environment is preferred.
Intermediate digital literacy including Microsoft Office programs.
Mechanical experience in a regulated environment is preferred.
Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Ability to work at heights, crawl under equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Ensure operation of machinery by performing preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors, and production equipment.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools.
Use performance data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Repair and maintain production equipment using welding, hydraulics, belts, pneumatics, HVAC, and PLC I/O devices.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings; follow manuals and specifications.
Troubleshoot older machinery when diagrams are unavailable.
Document maintenance work in a computer database (work orders, PM tasks, etc.).
Maintain an organized work area and uphold housekeeping standards.
Promote safety, quality, CC&S, and regulatory compliance per procedures.
Participate in team meetings and communicate progress and opportunities.
