Job summary

Golden State Foods in Conyers, GA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support day-to-day operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial food production equipment on the 3rd shift. The role ensures equipment remains operational, safe, and compliant to support high-speed packaging and processing.

You will install and maintain equipment, respond to breakdowns, read diagrams, and work with PLCs and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with PLC/motor controls, industrial electrical, welding, or mechanical repair.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving, mechanical aptitude and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment and support systems.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and equipment failures.
• Perform repairs using power tools, welding equipment, test meters, and hand tools.
• Work with PLCs, motor circuits, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and electrical controls.
• Dismantle, inspect, and replace parts on packaging lines, conveyors, and pumps.
