MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Machine Set-Up Operator Trainee for the 3rd shift at our Farmington Hills, MI facility. In this entry-level role, you will operate assigned mechanical equipment, inspect parts, and support quality-focused production under supervision.

You will learn manufacturing processes, complete SPC checks, and document production data while maintaining safety and 5S practices in a hands-on environment. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Interpret work instructions.
• Follow written and verbal directions.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Able to address basic issues and escalate more complex problems.
• Flexibility to train on 1st or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned mechanical equipment and follow work instructions.
• Gauge, inspect, and measure parts and perform SPC checks.
• Monitor production output and ensure quality compliance.
• Document production and quality data accurately.
• Maintain 5S-compliant organized work area.
• Follow safety, environmental, and quality policies.
