Job summary

ITW ShineMark in Newburyport, MA is seeking a production operator to read schedules, run embossing and coating lines, and ensure material availability. This role supports efficient production and quality controls in a fast-paced environment.

You will adjust machine parameters, monitor quality, perform routine maintenance, and operate a forklift. A high school diploma and manufacturing exposure are preferred, with overtime potential on weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience or mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Flexibility to work in a multi-department environment.

Responsibilities

• Read schedule to determine timing for machine changeovers and runs.
• Ensure sufficient inventory for production.
• Start and stop operation of machines using control panels.
• Align or fasten machine parts using hand tools.
• Thread or feed film through rollers and adjust temperature, speed and flow rate.
• Monitor machine and product to detect defects and adjust settings as needed.
• Record production run quantities and perform quality checks.
• Consult with Team Lead or technicians on issues.
• Perform required machine changeovers and adjust slit width.
• Monitor embossing processes and inspect material for defects.
