Job summary

ITW ShineMark, a division of Illinois Tool Works, is hiring a Primary-Metallizing Operator for the 1st shift (7am–3pm) in Newburyport, MA. The role requires reading schedules, operating coating equipment, and handling materials. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and manufacturing exposure.

Forklift operation and 5S familiarity are a plus. Responsibilities include machine setup, quality checks, and cross-training across coating and mixing departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Manufacturing environment experience is preferred.
• Ability to read schedules and follow production instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read schedule to determine roll sequence and operate machine controls.
• Thread/ feed film and adjust machine parameters to meet specs.
• Perform setup and operations for vapor deposition and related processes.
• Inspect product, test as needed, and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Move and handle materials, assist with loading/unloading, and operate forklift.
• Follow safety, 5S, and quality procedures; cross-train as needed.
