Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking a Production Operator to efficiently assemble, machine, and finish door components in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will read blueprints, follow work orders, and ensure parts meet quality standards while using hand and power tools.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years in manufacturing, woodworking, or construction, with familiarity in millwork or door-related production. You must lift up to 50 lbs and stay safety compliant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, woodworking, or construction environment preferred.
• Experience with doors, windows, or millwork production is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery, power tools, and assembly equipment to manufacture doors according to production schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure proper materials, measurements, and finishes.
• Inspect parts and finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Handle and move raw materials, door slabs, frames, and hardware using appropriate lifting techniques or equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
• Document production data, quality checks, and material usage as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.
• Other duties as assigned
