Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a Machine Operator to operate corrugated board converting machines and support box production. You will manage machine setup, operation, and cleanup, while following GMPs and quality procedures to ensure product quality and on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to learn multiple processes and grow within the plant. This is a 3rd shift production position offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Able to read a tape measure accurately and apply concepts of high school math.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions written, oral, or graphic.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines that convert corrugated board into boxes, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Follow GMPs and quality procedures to prevent defects.
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at capacity and speed; optimize setup times.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas; perform end-of-shift cleaning.
• Train and assist Machine Helpers and Production staff as needed.
• Cross-train on other machines and positions within the plant.
• Submit maintenance requests and proactively maintain equipment.
• Adhere to production schedules and suggest optimizations to meet goals.
