Job summary

White Cap in Tremont, MS is seeking a skilled machine operator to maintain and operate machinery including CNC, grinders, drills, and presses. You will ensure production targets are met while upholding safety and quality standards.

Under supervision, you will read blueprints, monitor equipment, perform basic math, and document process tickets. 0-2 years of experience preferred; 1-3 years related experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred; 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• Ability to read and understand safety operating procedures and use safety features.
• Ability to use basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, counting, and tape measure.
• 1 to 3 years’ related experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates assigned machines, including resistance welding, brake presses, and mechanical power presses. Operates saws, drills, and grinders. Consistently meets production requirements.
• Maintains clean and safe work area.
• Packing finished materials into dunnage and loading/unloading.
• Checks that the finished workpiece conforms to the specifications.
• Completes documentation correctly for process monitors and production tickets.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions and may fix issues during the shift.
