Job summary

O'Neal Steel has an opening for a Loader on the 3rd shift at our Grand Prairie, TX facility. You will load and unload materials in a warehouse, using equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes to move goods to trucks or trains.

The role requires operating a wide range of material handling equipment, ensuring load accuracy and complying with DOT weight regulations. A strong emphasis is placed on safety and quality, with long-term development opportunities within a leading steel supplier.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a wide variety of material handling equipment.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Experience using basic hand tools (grinder, bander, drill, hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench).
• Commitment to high quality work for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment including overhead crane, forklift, stacker, and more.
• Plan and solve problems with strong critical thinking.
• Ensure loads meet weight regulations for DOT compliance.
• Verify material, quantity, and packaging per order instructions.
• Perform loading duties 70% of the time or more.
• Extend handling with standard tools as needed.
• Learn and retain product knowledge and rigging procedures.
• Maintain safe, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
